Enquire NowOn offer is a BSA B40 350cc Trials bike.
The machine is believed to have been in storage for over 20 years, the bike is registered as an Historic vehicle and therefore does not require an mot and has £0.00 road tax.
We checked the bike over and have started it up [which it did easily] and can report it sounds healthy, all gears select and the clutch feels good. The bike has had the kickstart lever "borrowed" at some stage so a replacement kickstart lever will be required, the bike is being sold as a project , please remember it has been unused for 20 odd years so will require a good recommissioning prior to any use, if cleaned up the bike would look very presentable in its current form or could cosmetically be taken to a higher level.
I believe that the bike started its life as a military motorcycle and has been transformed into a trials machine. As for specific specification I cannot add any information as sadly the owner is deceased.
The bike is part of the estate clearance from the famous scrambles rider Terry Challinor and the V5c shows this machine was acquired by him in 2002 but rarely used as in essence he was a speed merchant. The bike comes with a V5c, an old purchase receipt, an old MOT and some photos taken in 2002.
The V5c engine number and frame number are correct as shown and also verified by a VMCC letter included with sale.
This is a great looking B40 trials but please remember it has been unused for many years and will require attention.
