1980 Bultaco 199 350cc twin shock trials motorcycle, road registered.
This is a one owner from new machine believed to have covered just 953 miles from new. The bike was first registered on 01/01/1981 so will have been produced in 1980.
It is understood that when nearly new it was taken to Bultaco guru/expert Steve Wilson and built into one of his bespoke frames which was chrome plated. We also have the hardly used original frame which is included in the sale.
The bike has been unused and in storage for the vast majority of its 45 year life so can truly be described as a shed/ barn find survivor. The bike is road registered and still has a V5c document showing the one owner [famed in the scrambling world] from new.
The machine is being offered in untouched as found condition & required renovation, we have made no effort to start the engine, however it does turn over and makes all the correct sounds so it should be straightforward to get running, the gears do not select and it is stuck in neutral but we believe this is purely due to standing.
The bike appears very complete and unmolested.
This is surely a great opportunity to acquire a genuine Steve Wilson framed 199 that has not been through many owners or used/ abused and bodged over the years.
