On offer is a genuine original early Rickman Metisse powered by a Triumph 6T pre unit engine through a BSA gearbox, BSA rear hub and possibly MP forks. The machine was owned by the famous Terry Challinor for many years We believe since the 1970's possibly before that, we acquired the machine from his family as part of a clearance following his sad death.
We don't know if many years ago Terry raced this bike or he had acquired it for other reasons but it's certainly a great name to be associated with this machine.
The bike requires a full restoration, the tank and side panels are missing but readily available, however the engine turns over with some compression and gears select.
This is a rare period genuine Rickman Metisse and not a modern copy, although the plating on the frame is bad the frame looks sound and unrepaired so would be a great basis to start from.
