AMC Mighty Mite M422
Produced in February 1960
The VIN/Serial number for the vehicle is 144 – this being 144 of 1045 total units produced with the 65” wheel base as apposed to the M422A1 which had a 71” wheel base and are more common to find as 2877 units produced.
The vehicle was imported some years ago by a private UK collector who stripped the complete vehicle. We believe that when he purchased the MM it was a complete vehicle.
It was then stripped down and paint stripped from the body. When stripped many of the assemblies were left complete eg: engine, gearbox axles etc and this is how it has remained. On top of this a considerable amount of time has been spent sourcing and purchasing new old stock spare parts as well as used parts, for example two new spare crankshafts, 4 new cylinder & pistons units, new cylinder head, new camshaft and timing gears are just some of the new engine parts. There is also a large quantity of suspension bushes and seals etc.
One spare steering box (used)
In terms of electrical parts there are new wiring looms, light switch, headlight glasses plus a selection of additional rear lights instruments, regulator boxes and starter motors and generator plus a selection of other niceties including a new Holley carburettor and two additional used carbs. In addition to this there is a large quantity of new spare parts as well as doubles or some used parts which is simply too much to list in one advert. We have priced this to sell as one complete lot and are not interested in selling anything individual from the overall collection.
This vehicle does not have any paperwork with it and presume this has been lost.
